No End to Eldorado

My day today.

And so I woke up,
And my nose were streaming,
And my eyes felt like there was a weight dragging them down,
And my brain felt like the blood had thickened,
And it was having a problem moving through,
From the inside of my ears to the bottom of my skull.

And I looked around my room and saw the cups on my table,
My clothes everywhere,
And the light streaming in from my window,
Where the blanket I’m using as a curtain doesn’t quite cover it up.
And I felt the tiredness in my shoulders,
And the aching in my limbs,
And went back to sleep.

And when I awoke I thought I should get up,
So I rolled myself a cigarette,
And went downstairs,
And made a cup of tea,
And talked about burritos,
And put on Sandy Denny,
Because she makes everything better.

And I thought I should eat something,
So I ate the soup I made yesterday,
With cheese,
And rice,
And vegetables,
And had another cigarette,
And listened to more Sandy.

And I blew my nose,
And coughed up my lungs,
And sunk back into the sofa,
And I thought to myself,
I feel like shit,
But its probably just a cold.
Probably just a cold.
